Ø As Proposal and project manager for the Application Center in Asia, you will be part of our Asian Hub within the Global Projects organization. We have the responsibility to design & manufacture auto station, wheel nut-runner, torque reactions, software solutions, integrated systems and other such applications. The PPM will be in charge of the customers which are located in China, Korea, Japan and South East Asia.

Ø The Proposal and project manager is committed to providing a saleable solution for key accounts in responsible area with a manageable scope of work.  

Ø Through interaction and the application of the proposal principles, be able to master basic application and tools knowledge, understand customer needs, be familiar with PCW quotation tools, strive to provide innovative solutions to our customers.  Will strive to meet or exceed our goals to deliver sellable solutions, on time, and to a quality standard that gives us high levels of customer satisfaction.

Ø Responsible for all project management activities which include the financial and technical results of the project which he/she is assigned. He/she is to communicate effectively with management and to be with a clear vision of what determines a successful deliverable for the customer and for the company

 

 

 


Major Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

 

Proposal phase:

Technical review of the applications for the request quote with the Customer and Sales team

Evaluate customer RFQ requirements and customer specifications

Be able to master application and tools knowledge, use Atlas Copco Application Center best practice for the applications

Provide routine technical Support

Provide competitive and manageable cost from material to labor in pre-calculation sheet, for providing saleable solution to customer

Work with several layers of customers, sales, and end users

Walk the line, conceptualizes the application and integrate our products where applicable

Validate that our product offering will meet the RFQ requirement

Review deviations with the Sales team

Evaluates offering and estimates risk. If risk is a concern sets up internal review

Ensures local or international standards have been accounted

Large quote Develop action plans, communications, resources and scheduling to complete tasks on time

Participate in multiple projects simultaneously

Maintain communications and relationship with key accounts

Be part of sales process in cost approval process, and contract review with risk review and mitigation

Areal sales marketing activity involved

Project Implement phase:

Leading and manage multi-disciplined teams (engineering, purchase, installation, software, programming, service) in time-critical and complex environment and acting as the main point of contact

Project Reviews, participate to sales and order intake budget regarding contract contribution and contract margin

Monitoring project progress compared to the project goals and process, and making corrections or time adjustments to reach these goals

Accountability for delivering performance on specification, on cost, on time and on quality

Handling change requests during project implementation, both internal and from customer

Ensuring the customer requirements are met and that Final Acceptance is achieved and handed over to service department successfully

Keep close communication with customer during entire project process, to facilitate the information flow

Carrying out Customer Satisfaction Surveys per project

Applying information and lessons learned and reuses best practice solutions from previous projects and pre-studies to increase project effectiveness

Revise project process and system (SAP and Workfront) to ensure the timely and qualified delivery

 

Candidate Profile: 

Education

B.S. Degree or above with engineering background

Experience

Candidates must have 3+ years’ experience in an engineering related field, and including 2+ years of proven working experience as project manager

The successful candidate should have experience in understanding and defining customer needs.

Experience in design and manufacturing of special solutions

Experience in product marketing

Experience of working within an international matrix-organization and adapt easily to different culture

Virtual project team lead experience

PMP certification is a plus

Key account management related experience is a plus

Knowledge

Good knowledge of Motor Vehicle and/or General Industry segments

Understanding and interest in customer applications

Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical/software design

MS office, MS Project, AutoCAD

Knowledge on how to promote solutions in marketing

Good knowledge about project management tools, theory

SAP system is a plus

Language

Fluent (spoken & written) in English & Chinese (Mandarin)
