1. Manager Service and product Support
Your Role
Ÿ As manager of our service & product support you will be responsible for a team that interacts intensively with our customers, sales and service with respect to the products in product company Tianjin. Very close collaboration with engineering, production, sourcing and marketing as well as with service centers, field service and sales worldwide will be crucial. Good networking in an environment with several brands, customer centers and service centers will be important. Also direct customer contact, especially in case of quality issues will be needed.
Ÿ On focus will be to manage all field quality topics on time on quality. This role will be performed by product quality engineers.
Ÿ Second focus will be the support of our service centers and field service with all information, procedures and spare parts to guarantee professional after sales offerings for our products to our customers. Technical support engineers will cover this role.
Ÿ The disciplinary and functional lead of the team will be a core task.
Ÿ A continuous development of our processes, methods and tools is foreseen whtich might also include the ownership for dedicated quality processes. This has to be accomplished in close collaboration with several partner inside Atlas Copco Vacuum Technique.
Ÿ You will organize regular quality reviews to share field quality issue status to major stakeholders and to senior management.
To succeed, you will need
Education level:
Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar disciplines.
Relevant previous experience:
Ÿ At least 3 years in the field of service/customer service and vacuum technology or similar industrials.
Ÿ Strong firsthand experiences in areas like quality management, marketing, after sales management or service management.
Ÿ Strong technical background and motivation to develop a good understanding of our products, their production, and their application.
Ÿ Ability to lead a team and to collaborate in a broad and dynamic field of activities.
Ÿ Drive to reach results with your team in close collaboration with others in a very international and interdisciplinary environment.
Ÿ Strong entrepreneurial thinking and sensitivity for economics.
Ÿ Ability to communicate professionally with major customers and with senior management event in critical situations
Language skills: Fluency in English and Chinese is required.
Other skills and knowledge:
Ÿ Experience in New Product Introductions and technology development programs.
Ÿ Experience and knowledge on key technologies essential in the design of mechanical machinery, with preference to rotating type machinery.
Ÿ Experience in a number of the following areas: heat transfer and thermodynamics, rotating element bearings, lubrication systems, electric motors, gearboxes, small clearance mechanisms, vacuum technology.
Ÿ Fully able to communicate internally and externally with senior managers, peers and suppliers/sub-contractors.
Ÿ An excellent level of project management.
Ÿ High energy level & target/solution driven approach.
Ÿ Social team player with visual leadership and man management who motivates and inspires other team members.
Ÿ Good experience and usage level of the key MS office packages, e.g MS Excel, Words, PowerPoint.
Ÿ FMEA and other risk management tools and techniques.
Ÿ Analytical and modelling capabilities.
Ÿ Knowledge in CAE modelling techniques, such a clearance or FEA.
Ÿ Experience with legislative and regulatory standards.
Ÿ Motivated and self-starting, Assertive, takes responsibility and able to make (difficult) choices with confidence.
