To achieve successful outcomes for sales opportunities the holder of the position will;

Ÿ To work with Applications & Proposals group on selection of vacuum pumps and propose complex system design for Scientific Vacuum applications.

Ÿ Where appropriate, prepare preliminary P&I diagrams and other documents required for the supply of customer quotations.

Ÿ To provide technically correct & commercially valid quotations by utilizing the company processes.

Ÿ To provide technical and product support to customers, distributors and the sales team for scientific vacuum pump systems.

Ÿ To maintain an up to date record of customer’s correspondences and contacts using the systems provided.

Ÿ To initiate kick off meetings and co-ordinate activities with the sales coordinators and project engineers to ensure the correct supply.

Ÿ To work and liaise with the Global Applications & Proposals Team and Product Companies.

Ÿ To provide first line support in the region for technical, application and product enquiries for systems  received from customers, distributors, customer care and the sales team prior to the sale of equipment.

Ÿ Capable of taking technical lead in customer meetings with customer during bid clarification, negotiation and order execution phases

To succeed, you will need

Ÿ A diploma/degree qualification in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Ÿ Knowledge of vacuum pumping systems, scientific processes or rotating machinery and their applications gained through at least 2 years experience of a similar role.

Ÿ The ability to provide technically and commercially valid quotations.

Ÿ Well organized and able to plan effectively and set priorities. Analytical techniques and computer literacy.

Ÿ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Mandarin would be an advantage but not essential).

Ÿ SAP and AutoCAD knowledge are a plus but not essential.

Ÿ Good administrative and personal disciplines to handle multi-task, time- constrained activities, driven by customer requirements.

Ÿ Ability to work as a team. Good interpersonal and communication skills for communicating interfacing with customers and colleagues in supporting functions.

Ÿ Self-starter and motivator with a committed approach to meeting the goals of the division.
