About us and the role:
H&M entered China in 2007 and has since grown rapidly. To be able to serve our Chinese customers even better and to strengthen our position on the market we are currently setting up a dedicated China Brand Hub. The China Brand Hub will function as an extension of the global HQ and have the responsibility to strengthen the brand, customer offer & customer experience in China.
It’s a full-time position, reporting to the Womenswear BU Responsible in China Brand Hub, based in Shanghai.
What You Will Do
As a Designer, you’re responsible for the collection in all channels – the right current fashion, clear visual goal and coordination. You’re the visionary for the concept. Your responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
Customer:
· Be responsible for the concept’s customer focus.
· Monitor how the concept’s customer is affected by trends and by their surrounding and act accordingly.
· Be responsible for and drive the research for the concept.
· Define the vision and identify what the concept’s customer wants.
Setting Targets:
· Define the vision and targets for the concept:
- in the long term
- clear visual goals for the season and block
· Anchor and drive the visual goals for the concept.
· Draw up the schedule for the design team.
· Be responsible for developing plans for the concept’s campaigns and activities.
· Examine goals, clear them out, add to them and take action.
Assortment:
· Be responsible for the best assortment at concept level in all channels:
- the right current fashion
- coordinated assortment
- right time
· Constantly seek out new fashion, best basics and the best sale for the customer.
· Be responsible for developing and communicating visual information to the interfaces concerned
- Continuously review the assortment and take action.
Buying
Selling:
· Constantly monitor sales and take action.
· Monitor and evaluate the concept in all sales channels.
Your Mindset & Skills
We believe you have:
· Degree within textile, fashion and/or business.
· At least 2-3 years of work experience within product development and concept design.
· Well-developed professional competence in understanding and meeting the needs of the customer.
· Proven track record in creating strong commercial and profitable products and assortment.
· In depth Omni-channel understanding and focus.
· Well-developed and demonstrated communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
· Proven track record working within the Fashion industry.
· Proficiency in product development and assortment building.
· Expert in planning and execution to ensure capacity, flexibility, profitability, sustainability, and a strong Customer offer.
· Well-developed skills in leading a team.
· Good in communication and cross functional co-operation.
· Always see possibilities, improvements, and simple solutions- Growth mindset.
· Fluency in both Chinese and English languages is preferred.
