The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China announces winner of the 2024 Scholarship Program

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China is pleased to announce that Johan Chou Chen has been selected as the winner of its 2024 scholarship program. Johan will be working full-time for the chamber at its Shanghai office for one year.




Johan will be arriving in Shanghai around mid-June to begin the hand-over process from our current Scholar, and we are excited to welcome Johan to the team! 


Johan Chou Chen is looking forward to joining the Chamber as well: "I am honored to receive this offer and opportunity to spend a year abroad under the mentorship of The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China, Team Sweden, and all our member companies. I hope to bring a fresh perspective and put my academic skills in engineering and international markets to good use”, said Johan. 
 

The scholarship program is designed to provide young Swedish talent with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in China and to develop a better understanding of the country's business environment. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China has been running this program for several years, and it has been a great success.

About Johan Chou Chen:

Johan Chou Chen (陈明), a Swedish national born and raised in Stockholm, has recently graduated with a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping University, with a focus on Industrial Marketing and Machine Learning. Complementing his studies in Linköping, Johan has also studied abroad in Seoul, Beijing, and Taipei. He brings wide professional international exposure from firms like LinkedIn, Billerud, and Marshall.
