Strengthening Ties: SwedCham Meets with Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce

Malin Hammarén, General Manager of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China (SwedCham), along with Frank Zhao and Jessie Xu from ASSA ABLOY (our member company), recently visited the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce for a productive discussion with Vice Director-General Mr. Zhang Guohua.

The meeting served as an excellent opportunity to strengthen dialogue between Swedish businesses and Shanghai’s government, focusing on enhancing the local business environment and fostering deeper collaboration.

During the talks, Malin Hammarén introduced SwedCham’s mission in supporting Swedish enterprises in China and highlighted the chamber’s commitment to facilitating trade, investment, and sustainable growth. Frank Zhao and Jessie Xu shared insights into ASSA ABLOY’s development and contributions in Shanghai, underscoring the company’s long-term engagement in the Chinese market.

Vice Director-General Mr. Zhang Guohua welcomed the delegation and shared Shanghai’s latest policies aimed at improving the business environment for foreign companies. He emphasized the city’s dedication to providing a more open, convenient, and innovation-friendly ecosystem for international firms. These measures are expected to further boost confidence among foreign investors and enhance Shanghai’s position as a global business hub.
