Do you have a passion for business relations and want to develop your professional skills? We are now looking for 1 intern to join our Beijing Office and 1 intern to join our Shanghai Office.
About SwedCham China:
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China is a non-governmental and non-profit member organization for Swedish businesses and decision-makers in China. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China was founded in 1998 and has around 240 members and partners. The Chamber regularly arranges activities for its members such as seminars, workshops, social activities, and other network opportunities. The Chamber is a part of the local team Sweden’s effort together with the Embassy in Beijing, the Consulate General in Shanghai, Business Sweden and Visit Sweden, and works to build a stronger Swedish community in China.
Our Expectations:
The purpose is for you to get integrated into the daily work, and get an insight into how a foreign Chamber of Commerce operates. Business events aside, we also organize traditional events for celebratory occasions. You will be involved the Swedish business community by planning and executing small and big events, such as Crayfish Party, designing and launching marketing campaigns, and creating content for our 10,000+ followers on various social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing, marketing and executing events
- Maintaining and managing SwedCham’s social media sites with main focus on WeChat and LinkedIn
- Producing content for Social media articles, briefs and press releases
- Designing SwedCham’s marketing collaterals, e.g, event posters, flyers, web banners etc.
- Frequent communication with member companies
- Supporting office management in daily work
- Assist in creation of bi-monthly podcast, recording and editing
Requirements:
- Internships period 6 months up to 1 year starting with immediate start
- Excellent command of business English
- The candidate should have a legal right to intern in China. This means that you are either a Chinese citizen (student or professional), or a foreign citizen enrolled at a Chinese university (with permit to intern). We also accept students that are enrolled at a Swedish University if the student currently is in China and has legal right to intern.
- Degree within a relevant field, e.g.; Communication, Marketing, International Business, English/Swedish/Chinese Language, Economics, etc.
- Strong writing skills, a good understanding of social networking and a passion for communication, digital marketing and Nordic culture
- Ability to take ownership and work independently on projects
- Knowledge of design tools, video creation and photography is a plus
- Mandarin/Swedish speaking is a plus but not a must
Practical Details
- This is a paid internship. You are required to have valid insurance during the time of the internship. Interns are responsible for finding their own housing.
