Message from the Chairman - Welcoming our new General Manager Malin Hammarén

Dear Members,

I hope some of you have had the chance to take some time off during the summer months whether in China or in Sweden and are now ready for the challenges and opportunities in the coming months.

On behalf of the Board of the Chamber and all members I'm very happy to welcome our new General Manager Malin Hammarén, who will begin her work this week as she succeeds Daniela Ling-Vannerus Cassmer, who is returning to Stockholm after several successful years working for the Chamber.

Malin has had a long and successful career working mainly within the areas of Business Development and Management Consultancy not only in Sweden, but also in Italy, Japan and Dubai. She has worked at many different companies/institutions including Ericsson, Business Sweden and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Malin has Master Degrees both from Växjö University in Sweden and from Kanai Gadai University in Japan.

We are convinced that this experience will be very useful in her new position as General Manager of Swedcham leading the highly competent teams at the Chamber offices in Beijing and Shanghai. Malin will start her new job running, as it will be a busy fall for the Chamber with numerous events already planned in both cities. Malin will be based in Shanghai, where she lives with her family, but will spend part of her time in Beijing.

I look forward to see you at the upcoming Chamber events and ask you to join me in welcoming Malin and to wish her the best of luck in her new position.

With my very best regards,

Peter Ling-Vannerus,

Chairman, Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China
